Coloured diamonds
Since we are specialists in polished diamonds, we are able to source and provide any coloured diamonds required, in a wide range of colours and clarities. We offer a wide range of high clarity diamonds that are colour enhanced, representing a more affordable option than naturally fancy coloured diamonds which are, in comparison, much more expensive. The least expensive examples are most probably black diamonds. Caution should be taken as many naturally occurring black diamonds can exhibit poor surface polish and visible flaws on the surface, due to the volume of impurities within the stone. Enhanced natural black diamonds offer a better finish very often and can be supplied in a range of shapes and sizes, as the other enhanced coloured diamonds can. We offer a variety of shades in colour and more information can be found in the above links to our articles and information. Our enhanced blue diamonds are available in three shades. Ocean blue diamonds, sky blue diamonds and ice blue diamonds offer a choice of three distinct shades, each varying intensity with ice blue containing a gentle cool hint of blue, not too dissimilar to an aquamarine in depth of colour.
Also available are a range of shades of green diamonds all slightly different. A more Mediterranean feel is provided by our Oliver green diamonds and a fresher more verdant hue is found within our forest green diamonds. Other colours available include gold diamonds, cognac diamonds, orange cognac diamonds and a very vivid fancy canary yellow diamonds all possible from our extensive range.
Natural certified fancy colours are available by request and subject to availability. Please enquire for further information on diamonds that are available, whether it is for an idea of cost or if you require information on natural fancy coloured diamonds or information on the treatment process, which is responsible for a permanent and stable colour change within the enhanced diamonds.
Pink Diamonds
Natural coloured diamonds are more readily available in fancy shapes, since round diamonds have a tendency to disperse the diamond colour. It is for this reason that coloured diamonds, such as pink diamonds are very often found as princess cuts, radiant cuts and emerald cuts to name but a few of these fancy shapes. The cost of natural fancy coloured diamonds varies depending on the intensity of the colour. At the less expensive end of the spectrum, pink diamonds for example, show little sign of colour unless the diamond is un-mounted and sits on a white background. When we consider pink diamonds being candy floss pink in colour, this really describes more of an intense pink colour, similar to the shade that is found in a pink sapphire. Such diamonds can demand extremely high prices, with a half carat example costing in the region of twenty thousand pounds very easily. Similar prices can be asked for other intense fancy coloured diamonds. There are a number of factors to take into consideration and availability plays a very dominant role in the supply of coloured diamonds. Many of the worlds natural pink diamonds are mined from the Argyle mine in Australia. These pink diamonds vary from faint to very intense pink and many are sold each year at private auction in Geneva, before even reaching the international diamond market. For many, the pink diamonds represent a very rare and special purchase and this is true for a number of reasons, one of which is the rarity. This however is reflected in the price tag attached to pink diamonds.
Chocolate Diamonds
One of our other specialities has to be our range of natural chocolate diamonds. Some refer these to either cognac, champagne or chocolate in colour. Our diamonds are completely natural and are only available in a very high clarity setting themselves apart from the lower clarity material available elsewhere. All of our chocolate diamond rings are made within the UK with the same care and attention to detail as all of our jewellery. We can combine chocolate diamonds within cluster rings, or we can provide solitaire designs of pendants and rings that like an aged old Cognac is both expensive and refined, standing alone. Cognac and chocolate diamonds look particularly effective when incorporated into a ring with white diamonds and we can quite literally make up any of our styles to incorporate such rich colours of diamond with the finished piece. Any request for such an item is treated with a detailed personal response and anything is possible.
