Certified Diamonds are diamonds that has been submitted to one of several gemmological laboratories where they have been graded and the details recorded by an expert. Many details are noted such as the weight, dimensions, colour and purity of a stone. The shape, proportions and characteristics such as fluorescence are also recorded. The certificate provides a written report of your diamond, providing you with reassurance in the stone you have purchased.
Theoretically you can obtain any size certified diamonds but we generally provide certificates for most stones that are 0.25 carats in weight and over. For smaller stones, the cost of the certificate is a greater proportion of the stone price and can often be more costly than necessary. It is important to purchase your diamond from a reputable source providing you with the peace of mind you deserve. Smaller diamonds we sell, if not certificated, always meet the grades we describe them as. Full disclosure of weights, colours and purities are always provided in the accompanying appraisal. If you require a certificate with a smaller diamond, please feel free to let us know as this will not be a problem.
When you purchase a diamond, we will either provide a already certified diamond, or we will have a suitable stone certified to order. We will inform you of the stone we have for you before we commence making your jewellery to ensure you are 100% happy with the diamond.
We provide diamond certificates from all of the listed laboratories.
