Jewellery valuations are a part of our service, each piece of jewellery we sell arrives with a detailed appraisal of the item, and retail replacement value. This provides written details for your records, in case required at a later date.
Jewellery Valuations
We are happy to provide you with an independent jewellery valuation for any jewellery for a small additional cost. If requested, your jewellery is submitted to SafeGuard This is the largest jewellery valuation company in the and is part of the Birmingham Assay Office. This non-profit organisation was founded by an act of parliament in 1773 to provide protection to consumers, traders and manufacturers involved in the jewellery and precious metal industry.

Most jewellery can be safe marked for the ultimate security. A small discreet safe mark is applied to the item for identification. All information is then stored onto their national database providing conclusive proof of ownership for yourself, the insurer and the police. If lost or stolen, when SafeGuard is notified, the loss is entered onto a constantly updating register. If the item is recovered it can be traced back to you the owner. All information is strictly confidential and only released to the police or insurer with your permission. This is especially useful for high value items such as diamond rings, diamond pendants and diamond engagement rings. |
